The ability to influence and negotiate positive outcomes is a key skill for staff at all levels in organisations. MY Consultants negotiating and influencing courses aim to build on the experience of participants and examines topics including:

  • Preparing yourself for negotiating and influencing
  • Building rapport to allow you to influence more effectively
  • Developing enhanced listening skills
  • Enhancing the participants' ability to ask questions which can influence. This is developed by examining the specifics of language that individuals use.
  • Seeking mutually positive outcomes
  • Remaining calm in difficult situations
  • Closing the negotiation

Throughout the course techniques are introduced and participants have the opportunity to develop and practise these techniques through hands on activities and role play negotiations.
